Scooterific Super Paradise Beach

We went to Porta, Pieros, and the bar upstairs laast night. We tried to go to a dance bar on the beach, but it was closed. We sat on the water and had a few more. We were binge drinking and completely wasted by the time we got home at 5:30 AM. We didn't really talk to anyone because the Americans all come on cruise ships and nobody was speaking English. We did chat with a German tourist who was here with her two boys on their honeymoon.

We awoke today at 1 Pm to the sound of the ferry horns coming into port. We were up and out by 2 PM. We had a nice lunch on the beach and then rented a scooter. Many of the shops and restaurants are closed. By mid October, I hear nearly everything is shut down. There are still beautiful men here.

We took our scooter to Super Paradise Beach. It is very under-powered and the roads are very curvey and steep. I have no idea how we will get up out of the beach with both of us on it. We're having a beer here at Super Paradise and then we'll head back. There is no sense in getting drunk, especially since we didn't take helmets. I know...Catrina will bitch since we are drinking and riding and not wearing helmets.

One funny thing is that regardless what you are looking for, the directions are always 'go straight that way and you can't miss it." First of all, there is nothing stratight here except one road that runs parallel to the airport running for a brief moment along a runway. Second, none of the signs match. Some in Greek, some in Latin, some are Greek words written in the Latin alphabet. Many places take down their signs and close the sutters at night so any reference point established during the day is not always there at night. On final funny thing is their equivalent to Fed Ex which is Super Ex or Fast Ex or something like that. It is the smallest "truck" I've ever seen with a giant man crammed into the one person closed cabin.

The beach is kinda dead. It is about hte time people head out and I believe it may have rained this morning while we were sleeping. This could have deterred some people from coming out today. Regardless, it is very relaxing and beautiful.
