Del & Jason In My Hood!

I am not generally star struck, whether A-List or not, but have had a strange infatuation with all things Sordid for many years!  I rarely blog these days, and likely have only 2 or 3 blog followers left, but this is the most relevant place to share details about this show!  Remember all the posts about Jason Dottley and his occasional comment that made me giddy?  This is definitely a blog-worthy topic; perhaps I can get some ChimneyJ followers to click over and learn about the excitement...

Tomorrow night, Del Shores' Sordid Confessions will be in DC at Town!  After years of being in MANY cities, literally days before or after Del and/or Jason perform, I will finally get to see them in person, literally around the corner from home!

Please CLICK HERE to buy tickets (only $15-standing or $20-seated) and join me tomorrow night at Town!

RJ makes the evening news! (again)

I leave the city for 5 days and these two get filmed for the news AGAIN during the Snowpocalypse DC snowball fight at 14th & U Streets.

So did the Hummer driver have a gun or not? Seems like there are conflicting reports - anyone catch that irresponsible unbadged officer with his gun out?

Sordid New Years?

I'm terribly excited about this silly New Years Eve party. It appears Jason Dottley and Dell Shores are opening their home (pictured here) and selling tickets for a Sordid Lives themed New Years Eve Party. For $275, you can buy a ticket on eBay. Now that GlitterGirlTiff is moving back to the OC, I could surely stay with her, but dare I consider such a wasteful expenditure in these lean times? (Hopefully Glitter Girl will be blogging her cross country moving adventures with Little Ricky.)

Surely this doesn't mean Dell is trying to boost his cash flow with the end of Sordid Lives as implied by TMZ's coverage back in October when he first sold memorabilia on eBay. According to a Sordid Lives Fan Blog, LOGO ordered Season 2 with 18 episodes back in August, but I haven't yet been able to find any formal announcements or press release that this happened. I will be sad if it goes away. If you've heard otherwise, please let me know!

"Pub"licity

We weren't actually at a Pub, but we did catch some Publicity through our appearance at One In Ten's Divas Outdoors Movie Series! I'm on vacation so I didn't see it yet; allegedly a picture of us appeared on Metro Weekly page 23. You can also see the pic online at Knee Deep in Mud or on the Metro Weekly website! The District & Friends have made the printed version twice this year. I'm not certain if that is a good thing, but it at least shows we are doing our part to keep the economy going.

Duffarific

Have you picked up the latest issue of On Tap Magazine? There is a full page article titled, "On The Cheap; Happy Hour at Duffy's" about Duffy's Irish Restaurant & Pub!

Nice Publicity Andy!

D List Gays

I took a lovely stroll pushing my old bike down to The Bike Rack for a repair estimate so I can add another fun fitness option to my routine. This bike has been loosely chained in the garage for the last 5 years and truly hasn't been ridden in a long while. I wasn't sure if it should be scrapped, but apparently it is still worth something. The hot tattooed employes said a new one of equivalent quality would cost $5-600 new. I opted for the complete overhaul and it should be ready in 4-5 days! Despite some of the negative online reviews, they were very nice and didn't throw too much attitude.

Met Sister Disco for lunch at Mercado where she informed me that, while I may be a D-list gay, I did make page 65 "Scene" Section of Metro Weekly. Grab a copy or click over to Metroweekly.com to check out the pic for yourself. I barely even remember being at Blowoff after the fiasco at the Drag Show at Town.

If you're Catholic and interested, click over to see Sister Disco Welcome Pope Benedict XVI or go to hear how Knee Deep in Mud participated in Pope-a-po-looza. If you're less religious, head over to Polly's Cafe and eat a Pope Benedict, the weekend special version of Eggs Benedict (according to the sign.) I know...

News4 at 5

Our peeps were on tonight's channel 4 news talking about food prices. I have it on DVR and will save it for all to see at some house party. Couldn't find a podcast of tonight's news to link to, (I'm working on it,) but here's the transcript:

Rita Jean: (With a look of shock and amazement) "The milk is up. I'm paying almost three dollars for a half a gallon now and that is a little pricey."

Tasty T: (With a bourgeois smile) "I have noticed the difference in dairy products, and as well bread, alas, that's things we need, so we still have to buy them."

Jason Dottley

Check it out peeps...an actor or someone claiming to be the actor actually commented on my blog. See his comments on the previous post.

I did a little research - check these out:

MySpace - The Sordid Lives MySpace page.

Splashnewsonline - Another story about Sordid Lives with video.

IMDb - Jason's profile on the Internet Movie Database.

JasonDottley.com - his official website.

Olivia Newton John - Her official website where she also discusses the series in her news tab.

If it's legitimate, Jason Dottley should know that there is a huge contingent of movie night participants and their friends in DC that will be all over this series. Yes, I emailed him for more info!

For those of you who may have missed the 1,000 times we've watched this movie at my place, here's a YouTube cut that will give you a glimpse of why it is so fantastic. TV night anyone?
