Homeward Bound

I didn't write on Sunday because I was too tired after our last night in Mykonos to recount the day's events. Upon return from Delos, we relaxed by the pool and then took a nap and got up in time to watch the sunset. They KY newlyweds did show, but I didn't notice them until they were leaving. After several glasses of wine we went to meet Adelle at Katerinas then had dinner with her at the Magic Garden. Food was excellent. She threatened to dine and dash or pretend she was allergic to nuts or to pull a Turrets Syndrome scene. We counter-threatened her with her life :-) Had another drink at Katerinas then she went home. We carried on at Porta & Pierros and then finished the night with Jodi and a few of the other regular boys upstairs at Icarus. We couldn't seem to get a buzz on until Gino from Belgium started buying rounds of shots of tequila. We each took a turn then we were finally ready for bed. Tim and I had a nice time by the pool before going to bed.

Sunday we intended to do more shopping, but slept too late having gone to bed after the sun came up. We lunged at the pool bar with Claudia. She apparently found a party to go to and missed her ferry to Santorini. Joel and Lynne simply left her behind when she wasn't in the room at time to leave.

I slept the entire way back to Athens on the ferry...inside after being splashed on the deck by a wave. The sea was rough and we arrived in port late. Not very late, but just late enough to miss the last airport train. We met Elena at Monastraki and took a cab to the hotel. It was quite posh...the nicest (and most ridiculously expensive) thus far. We stayed in. By the time we ate and drank we only had 4 hours of sleep. Our flight this morning was uneventful. We were served breakfast of an omelet and bread and then I fell asleep. The flight from Frankfort to Dulles has been delayed several hours. We are waiting now at the gate and the latest departure time is listed as 1:45 P.M. We're ready to get home at this point.
