Focus on the family ran this full page ad in today's USA TODAY page 11a promoting their agenda. I will, and have, sacrificed my ability to legally marry to be with the man I love. Hopefully the ignorant religious right will lose their campaign to take away my freedom of choice before they end up losing their own freedom. I respect their beliefs and it is unfortunate that they don't respect mine.

You are far kinder than I in saying you respect their beliefs. I loathe their close-minded hate-mongering and respect them not at all.
Perhaps I should clarify that I respect their right to have whatever beliefs they choose for themselves.
Their hate for others should only make them personally miserable and ideally shouldn't impact me. I do not respect the actions they take to force their ignorant beliefs on others. I lose all respect for them as a result of their hurtful actions and attempts to take away my freedom.
