Clouds and more

Not sure of reality, but I lost RJ and picked up the Actor (not in a sexual way.) Having a martini. Not sure what bar #, but I'm still standing.

The Hottest Actor

I think Bosox fell out because she stopped communicating, but Hottie Kevin O (The Actor) showed up so all is well on 17th St. This location has nothing to blog so we chose the art at this blue bar.

another religious reference

...but it aint no church up in this basement.

Smoking Porch

nothing here to blog so this is all I got.

Hittin' a sister

This trailer be packed.

Church?

No, not church, but close. We've been joined by Jenny from the block and Atein! Rockin #9 with $2 Skyy vodkers!

Hipster

Once again we take on the role of hipsters. RJ and the District stumbled into another new bar. It's been open for only 8 days, which is appropriate since it is bar #8. It occupies the space formerly known as The Common Share.

Smoking or non?

Yes friends, we walked into a bar where you can smoke. This must be one of those houka bars. Again, hello fabulous neighborhood!

I'm now feeling the 4 shots we each had 2 bars ago. Bad idea. I'm trying to hold on to my chimney. Where be my second wind?

Uptown Hottie

This stop doesn't count (no liquor) but RJ insisted we stop for viddles since we made it to the second set (6 bars = 1 set)

I'm a bit confused because he didn't allow me to eat more than three bites of each appetizer that we got from the last place. Despite the fact we didn't want to partake of the 1/2 price menu during their soft opening, the chef introduced himself and sent 2 apps on the house. This might have had something to do with the fact that RJ casually mentioned he has a friend who is a food critic and writes a blog. I love you Sister Disco, but I think they had more visions of Washington Post than the Chimney Fall.

P Rat North

...so there's your hint. Had a magnificent time with Liz at the last place. We bought fertility gods at an African store and now we drink some more.

Yes, I said fertility gods....a story of course to tell.

Space Cadets

We had to blow out because RJ wasn't appropriately dressed for a biker bar in her Spring print blouse.

Shout out to Bosox Siobhan who is drinking with us in spirit and via text messaging. We love and miss you sister!

Scared

RJ is scared because she thinks this place is too rough. How can Ramiesque ceilings be rough?

She left her sceptor and orb with Gretchen at the last stop. She's feeling less regal, but we still drinking.

Viddles

We must eat to maintain. I'm having the Cuban. (The sandwich that is.)

RJ's very happy. She bought a lottery ticket and now knows she will be financially set for life. Highly and prematurely confident about the win if you ask me.

It costs a lot to be this cool. We've decided that U Street is the hippest place to live out our fabulous lives and we will continue being hip indefinitely...well at least until we break one.

Yum

It looks small, but this is just a sampler. The real thing is a horseradish infused Snow Queen Vodka with tomato water bloody mary. It came in a big girl glass with a cherry tomato garnish. Glamour Glamore.

Where in the world are the boys?

We intended to have one drink at each place, but already had our second drink bought for us at stop 1.

Housing Crisis

Houston, we have a problem.

You know there is a housing crisis when the District of Columbia PROACTIVELY sends you a letter to let you know they've re-evaluated the tax value of your home, and that they have lowered that value by $43,770. This trailer park is in trouble!

Rita Jean and I planned to have a Sinful Saturday in order to celebrate my continued employment. Unfortunately last night's shenanigans kept me up late and in bed till, well, essentially now. It is time to roll out and live a little. The word of the day describes my prediction for this afternoon! We'll try not to recreate November 3.

ROWYDO

Rock out with your derby out. The adventure continues.

Huh?

How does the juke box take American Express but the bar only takes the American dollar bill? Met Dancin's (pictured here) Mom tonight. She's a cool cat. We chatted about Indian textiles. This will make sense in future posts. Off to rock star with Vergie and Chimney Fall Mike.

Ulah Bistro

It's open for business and we just had a big crowd for dinner. I am celebrating continued employment. Everyone else is just being hip by dining at the newest establishment on U St..

Hottest for sure

I was expecting her to blog this, but since Special's blogging capacity is currently on the blink, I'll go ahead and do this. It is on the boy's room wall at the p-rat! Klassy.
